Zhong Tie Office Center

LOCATION: East Second Ring Road, Beijing

Three 60 meter-high office slabs act as urban walls to present strong facades to the city, and, at the same time, create a dynamic internal courtyard. A large cube-shaped reception/event hall overlooks a terraced garden with an extended view through a gate-building to the south. On the ground floor, facing east and west, are brick-clad battered walls, a reference to the city wall that once surrounded Beijing and passed through this site.
